Broncos Remain No. 1 in NFL Power Rankings Heading to Super Bowl

The Denver Broncos are projected to win Super Bowl XLVIII by six points, according to the latest NFL Sports Power Rankings.

The Broncos, who have held the No. 1 spot in the NFL Power Rankings since week 12, defeated the New England Patriots 26-16 in the AFC Championship to reach the Super Bowl for the seventh time.

The Broncos will meet the NFC champion Seattle Seahawks, who will enter the Super Bowl ranked fourth in the NFL Power Rankings. The Seahawks scored 13 unanswered points to defeat the San Francisco 49ers 23-17 in the NFC Championship.

In this week’s NFL Power Rankings, a rating of 1.000 = 14.355 points. With the top-ranked Broncos at 1.074 and the Seahawks rated at .637, a difference of .437; and the game to be played at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, a neutral field; the Broncos are projected to defeat the Seahawks by 6.275 points (.437 x 14.355).
